Brazen Place (2nd century B.C) is the most famous of all the dagobas. Isurumuniya rock temple (3rd century B.C) is well known for its rock carvings of two lovers.

Transfer from Anuradhapura to Mihintale. Proceed to Mihintale where Buddhism was first initiated in Sri Lanka. Mihintale is respected as the cradle of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. The Mihintale rock has many shrines and rock dwellings. A grand stairway of 1,840 steps made out of stones will take you to the top to see the surrounding countryside. Transfer from Mihintale to Anuradhapura. Dinner and overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
